Slapton Ley

Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, Sands Road, Slapton, TQ7 2QP
Slapton Ley is right on your doorstep and is one of the most beautiful areas of the British coastline. The Ley is the largest natural freshwater lake in south west England and only a fragile shingle bar divides the freshwater lake from the sea.

We highly recommend a day out exploring the Ley Nature Reserve, it has so much to offer: family walks (with or without a doggie), stunning views, picnic spots, an abundance of wildlife… and quiet peace. Take a breath and enjoy!

Facilities

  • Memorial Car Park: parking and toilets with disabled access
  • Slapton Bridge: parking and viewing platform. The viewing platform at Slapton provides access to all.
