Christmas & New Year 2021/22

Join us for a festive family break

Over the winter months South Devon is magical. On clear days the panoramic views all around you are breathtaking, the light and fresh air can only really be experienced first hand. A walk crunching along Slapton Sands next to the Atlantic Ocean is well… awe-inspiring. Slapton Ley Nature Reserve is right on your doorstep too; every season offers something different and beautiful to see.

To get away from it all and a chance to just slow down for a little while..  cosy Carlane Court in Slapton, South Devon offers you exactly that.  A ‘Home from home’  place to stay and enjoy with all the family. Watch out though! A naughty Christmas elf is in residence – go find… and move around  to make sure everyone is being good for Santa!

Prices: Adult (aged 16+) £24.00 Child (aged 3-15) £15.00 Family (2A, 2-3Ch) £75.00

A magical train journey - creating unforgettable Christmas memories

Your festive illuminated journey starts at Queen’s Park Station, Paignton, where the train with vintage carriages awaits you – decorated with thousands of lights.

  • Your first stop (15 mins) is Churston Station where the show begins.
  • From Churston, you will be propelled through the 450-metre Greenway tunnel which leads you to the enchanted forest- magically transformed by an amazing lightshow.
  • As you leave the forest you are greeted by the twinkling lights of Dartmouth reflected on the river Dart. So beautiful.
  • At Kingswear you can disembark and take photographs – and then you will be on your way back to Paignton to experience the spectacle from a different direction.

A bit of a trek, but on a crisp sparkly day it is a lot of fun. The mini village is set over 4 acres of award winning gardens and parodies life across the centuries and contemporary times. Who’s arriving at the Palace?

It’s full of humour and you can feel like a GIANT as you wander around (except of course if you are child sized). Even Santa is mini.
